Inspirado em obras como Berlim – Sinfonia de uma Metrópole, Um Homem com uma Câmera e a trilogia Qatsi, o filme mostra o passar de um dia através de momentos peculiares e triviais do cotidiano da cidade. Em linguagem que não segue os moldes tradicionais do documentarismo, a narrativa se estabelece na relação da trilha sonora (original) e a montagem, sem diálogos.

Inspired in works like Berlin: A Symphony of a Big City, The Man with a Movie Camera and the Qatsi Trilogy, the short-feature documentary “Sob o Céu de Joinville” presents us the passing of a day in the city, through peculiar and trivial moments of its quotidian. In a language that does not follow the traditional patterns of the documentarism, the narrative is established through the relation between the montage sequence and the music, with an original sound score, with no narrator or dialogues.
